Situated atop the hill in the Neora Valley National Park are two charming villages called Todey and Tangta. These hamlets were renowned for their cardamom plantations. Despite not being well-known among travelers, Todey and Tangta remain hidden gems due to the ongoing development of tourism infrastructure and limited availability of accommodations. However, those interested in visiting Todey Tangta can do so by starting their journey from Bindu or Jhalong. It takes approximately an hour to drive from Bindu to Todey village, followed by a three-hour trek from Todey to Tangta.
Day 1: New Mal bazar to Todey village. Night stay at river site homestay.
Day 2: Explore the village. Hiking to Tungta falls, monastery. Day activities in water fall and river. Night stay at river homestay.
Day 3: Departure from Todey to New Mal bazar.
For the duration of this adventure, you will be staying in homestays or camps, on a sharing basis Starting from day 1 to day 3.
We’ll provide Non Veg / Veg meals on all days of the trip. Starting from day 1 lunch to day 3 breakfast. Meals include – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
The village is renowned for its medicinal plants, particularly the Chamelidevi Ayurvedic Garden located nearby. The hike to Tangta offers a breathtaking view of the neighboring valley, and upon reaching this charming hamlet, visitors will be captivated by the serene atmosphere and stunning scenery. For the more adventurous, there is the option to continue trekking to Rachelle peak or return to Todey while enjoying a dip in the natural hot water spring called Dabai Khola, known for its medicinal properties.
Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and find tranquility at Todey, where a stunning view of the hills in Bhutan awaits you at a decade-old church. Experience a closer connection to nature by exploring Tangta and immerse yourself in the rejuvenating waters known for their medicinal properties. Todey and Tangta are perfect destinations for those seeking the beauty and serenity of a charming place, offering a breathtaking display of nature in its most pristine state.
If a trip is called off at the last moment due to a natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rains, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh etc), Desi Nomadz will issue a trek voucher for the full amount. The voucher can be redeemed for the same trek or another trek in the next one year.

The cancellation charges are as under:
Cancellations prior to 30 days from the start of the trek — full refund.
Cancellation between 30 days and 20 days to the start of the trek — 50% refund.
Cancellation less than 20 days to the start of the trek — no refund.
Please note:
If service purchased with a voucher code, then voucher amount will be deducted from deposit amount while refund to customer.
In case of refund, there will be a deduction of bank charges (if applicable) from the total fee you have paid. Also, if you have opted for a trek insurance, the amount will not be refunded.
