In the fear of falling prey to this deadly virus we are living our lives staying at home 24/7 and his disrupted flow of our normal life has largely influenced and changed the life of the travelers throughout the world. The restrictions imposed by the government on traveling have abstained the free and fearless movement of travelers across the globe. Travelers like me are getting fidgety and hoping to carry our backpacks soon.

No Freedom of Movement

The restricted transportation and our confined lifestyle at present is preventing us to explore the places that we have desired to visit. I know the rover in you is constantly nudging you to break through and compelling you to taste the freedom of traveling and exploring. But we are left with no option but to be home bounded. However, few relaxations are now declared on the railway and flight journeys but it is still quite risky to transit to alien destinations for we don’t know what’s lying there for us.

This pandemic situation has vehemently damaged the industry of travel and tourism all over the world. This is the only industry that highly depends on the movements of people and this critical condition of lock down has put a stopper on that. It’s now facing an unprecedented and uncertain period of quandary. Jobs are being sacked and a tremendous economic loss in the industry is reported presently. It is doubtful, when we will be able to recover from this dubious condition.

  • Suspensions on Hospitality- The imposed suspensions on the services of hospitality is the most significant blow that can be observed on the tourism sector in lock down.
  • No foreign tourists- the suspensions of international flights and the prevention on the arrival of foreign tourists is can be considered as one of the missing factors during this time.
  • Economic factors- As we know that the heaviest baggage of a traveler is an empty wallet and this is just the exact condition of the travelers right now. Interrupted work front has greatly affected the economic condition and travelers are in the lack of money.
  • Fear of People and Lacking of Compassion for Tourists

The panicky and frightened people have become less compassionate towards visitors which can trigger negative approach towards tourists. This may not work in the favor of the tourists and they can face many hazards while traveling.

However, nothing is more important than our life and our indemnity and right now at this disastrous condition all we can do is hope for a safer future and a risk free traveling. We should keep on maintaining all the necessary precautions to keep our self safe from the virus and wait for the time to improve.
