LEPCHAKHA or Pasakha Dzong trip by Desi Nomadz is one of the trending weekend trips, gaining popularity this year by young people, couples , who love to explore , who loves to spend quality time in offbeat places, throwing away the rush, noise, pollution & stress of daily life.
lepchakha is on hilltop, a small village, with some local Bhutanese families who’re extremely welcoming towards the travelers. you’ll enjoy the green nature, fresh breath, serene beauty of all the cities from the hill top. the tasty, delicious foods made by the bhutanis will take away all the stress. Lepchakha is surrounded by five popular peaks among which Mahakal, Chunabhatti and Rovers Point as together makes a great opportunity for trekking and excursion tour. It is also called a Drukpa village as they are the original inhabitant of the place. Basically these people are Bhutanese in origin and have unique culture different from Nepalese who dominate lower part of the hills.
The whole history of the area is not clarified but area was mostly under Bhutan’s Pasakha region. Turning towards history there were great conflicts between the king of Bhutan and the Cooch king of the plains over the area. Finally they signed an agreement named Sinchula Agreement after1865 the Dooars war between British India and Bhutan. Under this agreement the Buxa area came under British occupation, the Pasakha area came to be known as Buxa and the Pasakha Dzong became Buxa fort. Buxa is another destination which will be covered in this trip, it will be another charm to stay in a wooden house, eating local foods, communicating with locals, witnessing their cultural values. you’ll never forget this memories.
Day 1: Alipurduar to Buxa
Reach Alipurduar station by morning. Our guide will meet you, who will be the host & travel co-coordinator through out the whole plan, will take care of all the necessary things.Reach Santarabari via Cab. After LUNCH, the team will resume its journey. There’s no motor route after that. so an easy trek through the greenery forest will enrich your souls. After the jungle trek you’ll reach Buxa, where you’ll be staying overnight. Spend some moment to the nearby tea vendor, some majestic views are there to offer. In Buxa this night will be a delightful one. The homestay owner will deliver cultural views with his versatile,multi talented performances with Singing, playing instruments.
Day 2: Buxa to Lepchakha
Wake up early, have some beautiful moments in nearby area, After breakfast team will leave for Lepchakha village. The path will be little bit up and hilly again, have a comfortable walk, clicking around the surrounding. On way have a look into the historical Buxa fort, you’ll be crossing some springs in between, have some moments there. After the jungle trek you’ll reach Lepchakha village, where you’ll be staying overnight.
Day 3: Lepchakha to Aliupurduar via Santrabari
Wake up early in morning, so you’ll not miss the sun rise view from this hill top point. if you’re a photographer you’re good to go with flow. After BREAKFAST lets explore to the surrounding villages, a small trekking effort will again give you Adrenalin boost. Tashi gao is a small Bhutani village, explore the village, Gompa. Back to Lepchakha village and prepare for departure. Now enjoy the downhill trail. Reach to Santrabari and we’ll be leaving for Alipurduar Station.
For the duration of this adventure, you will be staying in guesthouses or in lodges, on a sharing basis Starting from day 1 to day 5.
We’ll provide Non Veg / Veg meals on all days of the trip.
If a trip is called off at the last moment due to a natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rains, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh etc), Desi Nomadz will issue a trek voucher for the full amount. The voucher can be redeemed for the same trek or another trek in the next one year.

The cancellation charges are as under:
Cancellations prior to 30 days from the start of the trek — full refund.
Cancellation between 30 days and 20 days to the start of the trek — 50% refund.
Cancellation less than 20 days to the start of the trek — no refund.
Please note:
If service purchased with a voucher code, then voucher amount will be deducted from deposit amount while refund to customer.
In case of refund, there will be a deduction of bank charges (if applicable) from the total fee you have paid. Also, if you have opted for a trek insurance, the amount will not be refunded.
