Located in the Himalayas, Rishikhola is a natural border that separates the states of West Bengal and Sikkim. Although it serves as a division between the two states, Rishikhola is officially considered a part of the Kalimpong sub division. Along the banks of Rishikhola lies the popular Rishi Village, which has become a favored destination for travelers. The name “Rishikhola” is derived from the combination of two words: “Rishi” meaning river and “Khola” meaning river in the local Lepcha language. Sitting at an altitude of approximately 2000 feet, Rishikhola offers a peaceful and serene environment, making it an ideal getaway for tourists seeking tranquility amidst the beauty of Mother Nature.
Our Homestay provides easy access to the Rishi River bed. Each room at the Homestay is furnished with wooden decor and has its own attached bathroom. Nestled amidst lush greenery in Rishikhola, the Homestay offers essential modern amenities despite its remote location. In the evenings, guests can enjoy a barbecue organized by the Homestay, and local sightseeing can be arranged with the help of a car service. The food served at the Homestay is completely organic and homemade.
